From someone who has not read F. Scott Fitzgerald's Novel. The film is almost always on the verge of orgasmic explosions such as the ones we find in the introduction to the Moulin Rouge in his earlier film, however, Gatsby seems to have more control over itself.
The album actually turned out to be one of the dorkiest indie pop pieces I have ever listened to, with one lyric quoting Harry Potter, saying “I solemnly swear I am up to no good.” Seriously, how lame can you get?
It’s sadly not too often these days that a new artist releases an album that is as satisfying as a whole...An exciting experience from one the most exciting new musical artists of 2013.
...this is really just the outer layer that exists to satisfy the thriller elements of the film; the macguffin, if you will...
